Vis a Vis Photography exhibition, from September 1 to September 16, 2018
The Vis a Vis exhibition in 3 words
The photographic exhibition Vis a Vis, organised from September 1 to October 16, in Perpignan and from September 1 to September 28, in Pézilla-la-Rivière aims to present the political situation in Catalonia from 2010 to nowadays, showing the most emblematic moments of the so-called “process”, started by a people which wants to exert its right to self-determination
155 pictures, taken by 42 photographers, are displayed throughout Perpignan; they have been selected by a professional jury and show a documentary patchwork of the evolution of the Catalan society from September 11, 2012 to October 17, 2018, with a focus on October 1, date of the self-determination referendum, violently repressed by the Spanish police forces.
On the other hand, we organise an exhibition around Roser Villalonga’s pictures, in Pézilla-la-Rivière: a people, a country, a struggle, from September 1, to 28. At the end of the month, this exhibition will be on tour throughout Europe and the Catalan Countries.
